• Redwoods Glowworms

 

Redwoods Glowworms is suitable for most ages and abilities. The eco-cave is wheelchair and stroller accessible, giving people who may not be able to access wild cave environments the opportunity to experience glowworms.

The experience takes place inside a 70-metre eco-cave that is humid and dimly lit, with thousands of real glowworms. The cave is kept dark to give your eyes time to adjust, helping you see more of the glowworms when you reach the main dome.

Allow around 15 mins for the full guided experience, excluding any wait time for the tour to begin. Because Glowworms is short and just steps from Redwoods Treewalk, most visitors add it to Treewalk Day or Nightlights, or choose the Ultimate Treewalk Experience ticket to enjoy all three.

Glowworm Code of Conduct

  • Do not touch the glowworms or ceiling.
  • Keep noise to a minimum.
  • Do not run or jump inside the cave.
  • Do not bring food or drinks into the cave.
  • Do not smoke or vape.
  • Wear footwear at all times. Jandals and sandals are fine, but high heels are not suitable.
  • Do not bring companion animals into the cave.

Please note: CO₂ levels inside the eco-cave may be higher than outdoors. People with respiratory conditions are advised not to participate.
