Experience even more of the spectacular Redwoods Forest.
Looking for something a little more exhilarating? Redwoods Altitude is a separate offering from the main Redwoods Treewalk™ and offers a guided experience, up to 25 metres high – higher than the existing Treewalk. Book the ultimate tree top adventure in Rotorua today.
Redwoods Altitude is designed to showcase even more of the spectacular Redwoods Forest. From 25 metres up, you will be guided on an exhilarating journey along 25 Indiana Jones style jungle bridges!
Using a continuous safety system, our professional guides will lead you around the 650 metre loop, ensuring your safety and comfort.
Join us as we share local knowledge and stories about the Redwood Forest history, native flora and fauna and Māori legends.
Please allow 2-hours for the entire Altitude experience.
Altitude + Fast Pass Nighttime + daytime Treewalk entry!
Every element of the Altitude operation has been planned and executed to ensure the safety of our guests.
From the inspection and selection of trees, engineering and construction, to the training of guides and the safety systems used.
Redwoods Altitude is certified under the New Zealand Adventure Activity Regulations 2016. In addition to this, we engage High Wire Technical Experts annually to review our operation.
Redwoods Altitude will provide you with all the safety equipment required for your trip. No personal equipment is allowed i.e. harnesses, carabiners etc.
Guests will be required to bring the following:
Appropriate clothing – Waterproof jacket for rain days, warm clothing for cool winter days, light layers for hot summer days etc.
(A limited number of rain jackets are available onsite).
Closed toe footwear – NO sandals, flip flops.
We have lockers available for your personal items whilst you’re on tour.
We actively monitor official information sources to stay up to date with any and all natural hazards that could pose a risk to our staff and guests. These include but are not limited to:
Rain, high winds, lightning, fire, seismic and volcanic activity.
On most occasions, tours will be cancelled or postponed well before any hazard reaches a dangerous level. In this case, guests will be offered the opportunity to rebook or receive a full refund.
In the event we are “caught out” by a hazard that cannot be forecasted, we have thorough and robust emergency plans in place, created by technical experts.
*Wind and rain do not typically trigger the postponement or cancellation of a tour, unless they reach dangerous levels.
Rain or shine, Redwoods Treewalk is open for adventure! 🌲
