COVID-19 Framework & Vaccine Pass Announcement -

Kia Ora, Treewalk whānau,

Further to the New Zealand Government announcements and policies around the COVID-19 framework, Redwoods Treewalk and Redwoods Altitude will be moving to the COVID-19 Protection Framework, a.k.a. the traffic light system from Friday 03 December 2021.

Vaccine passes will be required to experience our activities under any of the traffic light levels and staff will be verifying your pass, with the possibility of requesting identification. You are required to have both doses (or an approved exemption) before you are eligible for a vaccine pass.

This decision has not been made lightly. We consulted with our staff and considered the increasing operational restrictions (possible closures) through the traffic light levels, as well as guests on site and the close proximity of our team and guests.

Our priority is to safeguard our guests and team alike and we appreciate your understanding.

We're looking forward to welcoming you to the forest this summer.
Kia Ora!

We have something new and exciting coming to the Treewalk and you'll be able to experience this new addition this summer!

However, there will be some disruption to our business on the days and hours below, but we're still open for business, although there will be safeguarding measures and diversions in place during this time.

- Tuesday 23 - Friday 26 Nov 2021 (daytime only).
- Monday 29 Nov - Friday 03 Dec 2021 (day & night).

We appreciate your understanding.

Stayed tuned for further updates!

- Treewalk Team.

  • Coolest place ever! We went at dusk so did half of the walk in the day time and the other half in the semi dark when all the night lights were on! Was such a beautiful walk and loved every moment! The staff were super informative and nice. I will definitely be back in the future!

  • The Redwood Forest is just stunning... The lights are just incredible and it is such a beautiful thing to be walking so high in the trees. We also went back the next day and walked around the forest - still gorgeous. Would definitely recommend.

  • The Redwoods Altitude tree walk is beyond amazing! It was the highlight of our tiki tour of the North Island, and if you’re a wee bit terrified of heights, it was life changing. We felt so safe while being challenged well beyond our comfort zones. The guides are great, very encouraging.
